Are there any more rebates available?
YES! There are three separate rebates in total that can be claimed by eligible householders.
What are the rebates we can get?
- Eligible householders will be entitled to 3 Federal Government Rebates *conditions apply
- NSW State Government Rebate
As well as the federal government all of the state governments are getting behind the replacement of electric hot water systems. The NSW government’s $340 million climate change fund is helping business householders, schools and governments save energy and water. Water heating is the biggest energy user in NSW homes.
- Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) Points
Renewable energy certificates were developed under the mandatory renewable energy target (MRET) designed to reduce manufactures from building environmentally unfriendly systems.
Renewable Energy Certificates (REC POINTS) are point accumulated from the zone where the householder lives in and the efficiency of the system installed.
The installation of solar and heat pumps maybe eligible to create renewable energy certificates. These certificates have a dollar value on them depending on where you live in Australia (value is worked out by the position and radiation strength of the sun).
Registered agents will generally pay the householder for the right to create these R.E.C points.
This mean the registered agent will buy your energy certificates off you reducing the overall cost of the hot water system.
Can we get all the rebates at once?
YES! Eligible householders will be able to get all of the above rebates for the same installation.
How long will it take to get your rebate?
It normally takes around 6 - 8 weeks to receive back you rebate once applications have been filled out.
Do we pay the full price of the installation?
With Install Hot Water we collect the full amount of the system and installation on the date of completion.
Will you help us apply for our rebate?
YES! We will happily sit down and go through any of the extra question that you have. We will also help you fill in the required paper work. You will also receive a detailed pack on the "how, what and when" for claiming your rebate.
