Heat Pumps
WARM AIR OUTSIDE = FREE WATER HEAT INSIDE
Climate change is here as a growing threat to our fragile planet, with growing future energy costs we must look at better more efficient alternatives for the household energy demands.
The development of the heat pump sees an answer to both of our future hot water problems. (Efficiency with environmental benefits).
How it works:
Unlike a most electric or gas tanks the heat pump uses vapor compression technology as its principle operation.
(It is still a storage tank system)
This means it works the same as an air conditioner on reverse cycle.
The end effect is after the water is passed through the heat exchange unit, hot water is delivered back to the top of the tank (heating top down).
The hotter and more humid the ambient temperature, the more efficient the system works. That means the water is heated much faster.
